Your birth details are the most personal thing you can hand an astrologer. This page sets out exactly what happens to them.

Who We Are

Devagya Sutram is a Vedic astrology, Vastu and Muhurta consultancy based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. This policy explains what personal information we collect through devagyasutram.com, why we collect it, how it is handled, and the choices available to you.

If anything here is unclear, write to us at hello@devagyasutram.com and we will explain it plainly.

II

Information You Provide

The only place this website asks for personal information is the consultation form on the Contact page. That form asks for:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Date of birth, time of birth and place of birth
  • The type of consultation you are seeking
  • Your areas of focus — an optional free-text note

III

Why Birth Details Are Asked For

Date, time and place of birth are the three inputs required to cast an accurate Janam Kundali. Without them a chart cannot be calculated, which is why the form requests them. They are used for astrological calculation and for nothing else.

You may also reach us directly by email or telephone, in which case we receive whatever information you choose to include in your message. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing.

IV

How Your Enquiry Reaches Us

The consultation form does not send your details to a server operated by us. When you submit it, your browser opens your own email application with the information already composed into a draft addressed to counsel@devagyasutram.com. That draft is sent only if and when you choose to send it, and it travels through your own email provider under that provider's terms and privacy policy.

Nothing you type into the form is stored by this website. If you close the draft without sending it, the details never reach us. Once you do send the message, we hold it in our email mailbox in the ordinary way, and the rest of this policy applies to it.

V

How We Use Your Information

We use what you send us in order to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation
  • Prepare the charts, analyses, reports and remedial recommendations you have asked for
  • Maintain a record of the counsel we have provided to you

VI

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask to join.

We rely on your consent — given at the moment you choose to send us your details — as the basis for holding and using them. You may withdraw that consent at any time.

VII

Cookies and Analytics

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics or tracking services, and it embeds no advertising or social-media tracking pixels. No profile of your browsing is built, here or elsewhere.

Our web host may keep standard server logs — such as IP address, timestamp and the page requested — for security and reliability purposes. These logs are not used to identify individual visitors.

VIII

Sharing and Disclosure

The content of a consultation is treated as confidential. It is not shared with other clients, published, or passed to third parties for their own purposes.

Personal information may be disclosed only in two narrow circumstances: to the email and IT service providers that host our mailbox, who act on our instructions; and where we are required to do so by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

IX

Retention

Consultation correspondence and the charts prepared from it are kept for as long as needed to provide ongoing counsel and to maintain our professional records — typically for the duration of our engagement and a reasonable period afterwards.

You may ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to retain it by law.

X

Security

Correspondence is held in password-protected accounts, and access is limited to those who need it in order to prepare your consultation.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and ordinary email is not an encrypted medium. Please do not send us information more sensitive than the consultation requires. We will never ask you for financial account details, passwords or identity document numbers.

XI

Your Rights

Depending on where you live — including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and, for visitors in the European Union or United Kingdom, the GDPR — you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete your information
  • Withdraw your consent to our holding it
  • Complain to a supervisory authority, including the Data Protection Board of India

XII

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under the age of eighteen.

Where a consultation concerns a child — a birth chart cast at a parent's request, for instance — we rely on the parent or guardian to provide the details and the consent. If you believe a child has sent us information without that consent, write to us and we will delete it.

XIII

Links to Other Sites

This site links to external social media profiles and, from the Contact page, opens your own email application. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. We would encourage you to read their policies.

XIV

Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page, carrying the date on which it was last updated. Where a change is material, we will make that clear rather than let it pass silently.

XV

Contact Us

To exercise any of the rights above, or to ask a question about this policy, write to us. We will respond within a reasonable period, and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
